Why I Created This Work
After more than 15 years of teaching art, I began noticing that the most meaningful part of creativity wasn't simply making things—it was the questions, discoveries, and relationships that emerged through the process of creating.
As I worked with students and continued developing my own artistic practice, I became increasingly interested in how art, inquiry, and relationship shape the ways we learn and understand the world around us. I saw that creativity wasn't just about producing an outcome; it was also about curiosity, reflection, experimentation, and learning to notice meaningful connections.
Constructive Creativity™ grew from those experiences. What began as a way to support creative learning in the classroom gradually evolved into an ongoing framework and body of work exploring creativity through teaching, making, and everyday life.
Today, I continue exploring these ideas through my work as an artist, educator, homesteader, and lifelong learner. Whether I'm designing learning experiences, creating art, experimenting with materials, or paying attention to patterns and relationships in everyday life, I'm continually asking what creativity can help us discover and understand.
