CASE STUDIES

Different settings. Clear learning by design.

Different settings. Clear learning by design.

These projects span workplace training, personalized curriculum, creative practice, and community learning. They show how attention to learners, clear goals, practice, and reflection informs the design of useful learning experiences.

CASE STUDY 01

CLIENT ENGAGEMENT · ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING

360 Health Management — Support Coordinator Learning System

Improve what already works.

360 Health Management had an established Support Coordinator onboarding and training program. The engagement reviewed how its training, compliance content, and workplace resources worked together to support new staff.

What was examined

The review covered 17 instructional and performance-support assets, including onboarding communications, induction materials, training manuals, checklists, compliance content, and workplace references.

What the analysis found

The existing materials reflected real Support Coordinator responsibilities. The review identified opportunities to clarify the learning sequence, strengthen practice and competency checks, improve consistency, and connect training with workplace support.

What that changed

Useful content could be retained and improved. The work focused on a clearer learner journey and stronger practice, while avoiding new resources that duplicated existing material.

What came next

The findings informed targeted development of training manuals, learning objectives, assessment, learner journeys, competency checks, and workplace support resources.

PERSONALIZED CURRICULUM DESIGN

Personalized Learning System

Designing a curriculum around the learner without losing rigor.

This project explores how a personalized learning system can support an advanced learner across multiple disciplines while maintaining clear academic expectations, standards alignment, evidence of learning, and progression over time. The system was designed around the learner rather than around a collection of disconnected courses.

Design work included learner readiness, scope, standards and outcomes, interdisciplinary projects, learning expectations and rubrics, evidence of learning, and ongoing evaluation.

FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT · CREATIVE LEARNING

Constructive Creativity™ Creative Practice Framework

Turning creative practice into manageable learning steps.

Constructive Creativity™ began with a teaching challenge: learners can be asked to generate ideas, make decisions, create, revise, and explain their thinking all at once. Its flexible framework helps organize those demands into manageable phases for planning learning and creative practice.

Explore → Plan → Create → Reflect → Connect. The ten steps are Notice, Expand, Organize, Visualize, Commit, Build, Revise, Refine, Understand, and Relate. Development includes research synthesis, instructional design, learner tools, learning experiences, and continuing evaluation and refinement.

COMMUNITY LEARNING FRAMEWORK · CULTURAL LEARNING

Mino-Bimaadiziwin

Designing learning through relationship, responsibility, and community.

Mino-Bimaadiziwin is a community learning initiative exploring culturally grounded learning experiences through making, language, story, seasonal knowledge, research, and community participation. The design work considers how learning experiences can connect cultural context, hands-on practice, language, historical research, reflection, relationships, and community knowledge.

The work includes development of culturally relevant learning experiences and workshops, research and evidence gathering, language integration, learning resources, participant feedback, and continued refinement. The case study focuses on learning-system design work and Casey’s responsibilities as a designer, researcher, and facilitator.

Start with learners. Design for useful practice.

Across these settings, the design begins with learners and their context, connects goals with meaningful activities, and uses evidence and reflection to guide improvements.
